BORAD OF BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

JANUARY 24, 2006

           The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – January 24, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of January 17, 2006 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Dahl, Marcus and Ziegeldorf.

      The minutes of January 17, 2006 were approved with no additions or changes.

      Moved by Dahl, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to set coroner fee at $150.00 for each viewing plus mileage at state rates and any other expenses related to death.

      Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:45 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 11:20 a.m.

      Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Dahl. Marcus abstained. Motion carried. To hire Patricia Manolis as full time clerk/Victim Witness Coordinator in the States Attorney Office. Salary to be $1,150.00 County and $500.00 grant money per month with 6 month probation.

      Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve nursing contractual agreement with Rita Baszler of Baszler Health Services for February 1, 2006 thru June 30, 2006.

      Moved by Dahl, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve for Skip McWethy, Jail Administrator to advertise for an additional jailer at the Correctional Center.

      Moved by Dahl, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to abate for $139.67 in 2005 tax on S22’ of Lot 2 and all of Lot 3, Block 1 Runkels Addition, City of Huron as this was for property deeded to City of Huron, a tax exempt entity.

      Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve 2006 Drug Agreements with the following pharmacies: Osco, K-Mart, Lewis, Coborn’s and Northside.

      Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve 2006 Jail Agreements with the following counties: Hand, Hyde, Jerauld, Kingsbury, Sanborn and Spink.

      Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve 2006 JDC Agreements with the following counties: Hand, Hyde Jerauld, Kingsbury, Sanborn, Spink and Union.

      Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:

 RESOLUTION 01-10-06

“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”

      WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota for Beadle County Weed and Pest Board. The following items will be added to the 2006 Budget year.

 101  615.426    Weed Board Supplies             $  500.00

 101  615.429    Weed Board Chemicals            3,300.00

                                                           Total                3,800.00          

      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.

     On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on January 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
