      The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – January 31, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of January 24, 2006 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Dahl, Marcus and Ziegeldorf.

      The minutes of January 24, 2006 were approved as read with no additions or changes.

      Moved by Chase, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve for Tom Beerman, Beadle County Sheriff to purchase two 2000 Ford Crown Victoria cars from SD Federal Surplus for $9,350.00 and $8,650.00.

      Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 12:40 pm to conduct custodial job interviews. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 1:10 pm.

      Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to hire Gary Fenski for custodial duties at the Court House, Regional Correction Center and Highway Department for an annual salary of $27,456.00.

  Commissioners considered lawn quotes received from TruGreen Chemlawn in the amount of $812.44 includes 7% discount, Arnie’s Outback Acres in the amount of $912.00 and Busch’s Lawn Care $510.00 includes 15% discount.

           Moved by Dahl, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve quote from Busch’s Law Care in the amount of $510.00 including 15 % discount.

      Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to print the 2006 salary schedule as per SDCL 6-1-10.

     Beadle County & Highway Union Stewards met with the Elected Officials to finalize the union contract and they were signed.

      On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on Tuesday – February 7, 2006 at 10:00 a.m.
