PROCEEDINGS OF THE 2006 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
APRIL 18, 2006
The Beadle County Board of Equalization met Tuesday – April 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Dahl, Marcus and Ziegeldorf. Also present were Pat Tschetter, Beadle County Director of Equalization and Debbie Lindblad, Deputy Director of Equalization.
At 10:00 a.m. the Board met to discuss with Mike More, Beadle County States Attorney the motion to dismiss Appeal filed by Gerald Kaufman Jr.
Mike Moore informed the Board of Equalization that notice Director’s Appeal #6 filed by Pat Tschetter, Director of Equalization to Gerald Kaufman Jr. was not sufficient notice and for the board to proceed with Director’s Appeal.
Mr. Kaufman disagreed that is was sufficient and sited an Attorney General’s opinion.
Mike Moore again advised the Board to deny motion to dismiss appeal.
Moved by Dahl, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To deny motion to dismiss appeal as presented by Gerald Kaufman Jr.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To raise Local Board structure value from $36,995.00 to $40,550.00 and land to remain at $9,450.00
The following were reconsidered from April 13, 2006.

Director Appeal #4 – Record #6118, NE4 of Section 9, Lake Byron Township. Moved by Marcus, seconded by Ziegeldorf. Motion carried. To raise Local Board structure value from $76,000.00 to $100,360.00.

Director Appeal #5 – Lot 15, Temmey’s Addition, Lake Byron Township. Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To remain at Local Board structure value of $17,500.00 and land at $12,000.00.
