PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
MAY 16, 2006
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – May 16, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of May 9, 2006 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Marcus and Dahl. Absent: Ziegeldorf.
The minutes of May 9, 2006 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Dahl, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve to appoint Jerry Batien as working foreman for the Beadle County Highway Department, effective May 17, 2006 at a wage of $17.00 per hour plus longevity.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to purchase a 2003 Dodge Crew Cab Pickup for $15,500.00 from SD Federal Surplus Property for the Beadle County Highway Department. (#1D7HU18NP3J625523)
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to purchase two 2007 Mack CHN613 new Semi Trucks off of Jones County bid of March 7, 2006 in the amount of $79,949.00 each.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve quote from Anderson Furniture in the amount of $2,448.00 for carpet and installation for the Beadle County Treasurers Office. (Quotes were received from Anderson Furniture $2,448.00, The Carpet Center $2,954.77, Fullerton’s $2,491.40 and Duane’s Carpet Outlet $2,655.00)
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve quote of Golden Brush Painting to paint the Beadle County Treasurer’s Office and the small court room in the amount of $1,145.00 for one coat and $1,975.00 for two coats. (Quotes were received from Golden Brush Painting $1,145.00 one coat, $1,975.00 two coats and from Greenfield Painting $1,615.00 one coat and $2,850.00 two coats)

RESOLUTION 05-01-06
“PLAT OF KAHRE OUTLOT 1, LOCATED IN THE SW4
OF THE NW4 OF SECTION 25-112-64”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of “Kahre Outlot 1, located in the SW4 of the NW4 of Section 25-112-64”, West of
the 5th P.M., Beadle County, South Dakota, as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve part time summer weed sprayers for the Beadle County Weed & Pest Board: Patty Cummins, Rodger Oldfield, Diane Worral, Kody Kopfman, Adam Korkow, Ruby Bornitz, Jody Houghtaling and Jace Jungemann.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve Carol Bartels as part time Clerk at the Beadle County Extension Center with effective date of May 19, 2006.
Larry Wattier and Marsha Erickson from NESDCAP met with the Board to go over 2005 programs that were done in Beadle County.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on May 23, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.
