PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JULY 25, 2006
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met on Tuesday – July 25, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of July 18, 2006 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Marcus, Dahl and Ziegeldorf.
The minutes of July 18, 2006 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve to have the Chairman sign Community Access Grant Application for 195th Street (South Shore Road, Lake Byron Township) between 403rd and 405th Avenue Lake Byron Township.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:05 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 10:55 a.m.
At 11:00 a.m. the Chairman declared bidding closed and the notice to bidders for One (1) 2006 or newer, ¾ ton, 4 wheel drive, 4 door, Extended Cab Pick-up Truck was read. The following bids were received:
1) Schoenhard Ford, Huron SD $ 30,695.00 (Ford)
32,500.00 (Dodge)
2) Prostrollo Motor Sales Inc, Huron SD $ 26,590.00
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To accept the bid of Prostrollo’s – Huron in the amount of $26,590.00 as being in the best interest of Beadle County.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 07-14-06
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the United Way of American, Fiscal Agent for FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program 2006 Funding. The following item will be reimbursed in the 2006 Budget.
230 411.429 Emergency Food and Shelter $ 1,365.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.
Tom Kirchen, Beadle County Highway Superintendent, called for fuel quotes. Received from Raymond Oil $2.5995 per gallon and McGillvrey Oil Company $2.64 per gallon.
Moved by Dahl, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve quotes from Raymond Oil Company for $2.5995 per gallon for 2000 - 3000 gallons of #2 dyed fuel.
The Board continued to work on the 2007 Provisional Budget.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on July 31, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.
