PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
OCTOBER 17, 2006
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – October 17, 2006 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of October 10, 2006 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Chase, Marcus, Dahl and Ziegeldorf.
The minutes of October 10, 2006 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Dahl, seconded by Ziegeldorf. Motion carried. To approve to set November 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. as the bid date for Chain Link Fence at the Beadle County Highway Shop.
Moved by Ziegeldorf, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve 2006 HLS Regional Grant in the amount of $604,041.98 as a 2 year grant. Counties included in Region 6 are Beadle, Brown, Edmunds, Faulk, Jerauld, McPherson, Sanborn and Spink.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Ziegeldorf. Motion carried. To approve appointment of Robert Rademacher as agent for Beadle County in applying for grant funds through the Hazard Mitigations Grant (HMPG-DR-1620-SD)
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To approve Nursing contracts for Rita Baszler, Mark LaFreniere, Melissa Heinen from October 3, 2006 thru December 31, 2006.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Dahl. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:55 am to discuss contractual matters. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 11:05 a.m.
Dalin Fast and Jack Wellnitz from Foster Township met with the Board to discuss drainage ditch in the SW4 of Section 20. Tom Kirchen, Beadle County Highway Superintendent will meet with Foster Township at the site and report back to the Commission.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on October 24, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.
