PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 5, 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Monday – February 5, 2007 at 12:30 p.m., pursuant to adjournment of January 31, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.
The minutes of January 31, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. (Marcus & Chase abstain). Motion carried. To approve for City of Huron to transfer fund 704 CDF Fund to fund 205 CDF Fund to become in compliance with GASB 34.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve Abatement of $66.98 for George Eldon Stanfield (DOE#11188) on All of Lot 17, Parkland addition, Huron City as owner occupied status had been removed in error.
At 1:00 p.m. the Chairman declared bidding closed and the notice to bidders for Washed Crushed Rock was read. The following bid was received:

Site No. 1 Wheat Growers North of Wolsey on 281 8.35 per ton Total $ 91,850.00
17.91 per ton chips & delivery Total $197,010.00
Site No. 2 Wayne Garbe pit 8.35 per ton Total $ 91,850.00
Carlyle Twp T-109N R 63 Section 17 SW4 16.75 per ton chips & delivery Total $184,250.00
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to table bid on Washed Crushed Rock until next meeting on February 12, 2007.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve for Tom Kirchen, Jerry Batien and Nancy Willard from the Beadle County Highway Shop to attend Negotiating Right of Ways Acquisitions meeting on March 12, 2007 in Brookings.
At 2:00 p.m. the Commissioners held a meeting with Township Officials. There were 24 townships represented.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on Monday – February 12, 2007 at 9:30 a.m.
