PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 20, 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – February 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of February 12, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chairman Marcus, Chase and Drake. Absent: Werner.
The minutes of February 12, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve extension of Conditional Use Permit for operation of fireworks stand at 39650 US Hwy 14, Huron, SD to Ka-Boomer’s Ent. for 2007.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 02-03-07
“PLAT OF OLSON’S OUTLOT, A PORTION OF THE
W2 OF THE SW4 OF SECTION 12-111-63”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of “Olson’s Outlot, a portion of the W2 of the SW4 of Section 12-111-63”, West of the 5th P.M., Beadle County, South Dakota, as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to
endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.

RESOLUTION 02-04-07
“PLAT OUTLOT 1 & 2, THE N2 OF THE NW4
OF SECTION 21-111-63”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of “Outlot 1 & 2, the N2 of the NW4 of Section 21-111-63”, West of the 5th P.M., Beadle County, South Dakota, as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on such
plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.

“PLATOF M N M ACRES, A PART OF THE NE4 OF
SECTION 23-111-62”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of “M N M Acres, a part of the NE4 of Section 23-111-62, West of the 5th P.M., Beadle County, South Dakota, as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on
such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve variance request of Robert Hohm to construct a 30x50 shop building two feet from south property line. (Hohm’s Addition of W2 of NW4, Section 30, Custer Township, 4948 Dakota S)
Moved by Drake, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve bid of washed crushed rock Type 2A modified as per specifications for $8.35 per ton from Spence Quarries, Inc.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to purchase 2 Monroe 14’ V Box Sand Spreaders (Model MS V-168-84-50, MS) from Northern Truck Equipment; off of State Bid #22670 for the Highway Department in the amount of $7,690.00 per unit.
Trisha Parkhurst, owner of County View Estates, Record #10382 met with the board concerning 2006 taxes and assessed value on this property. (Lots 1, 2 & 3, Block 1, McKinley School Park Addition)
Linda Smith and Kevin Vaith, from the Beadle County Extension Office met with the Board to give quarterly reports.
Bonnie Dosch and Julie Miller from the Community Health Department met with the Board to give quarterly reports.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on February 28, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
