PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
APRIL 24, 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – April 24, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of April 17, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.
The minutes of April 17, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 04-07-07
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the US Department of Justice for the Bullet Proof Vest Program. The following item will be added to the 2007 Budget year.
101 211.426.34 County Wide Law Fixed Assets $ 899.92
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 04-08-07
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota Department of Public Safety Office of Homeland Security for US Department of Homeland Security 2006 Homeland Security Grant Program. The following items will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2007 Budget year.
226 222.429.06 Emerg Mgmt 2006 HMLS Grant(Equip) $ 26,613.78
226 222.429.06 Emerg Mgmt 2007 HMLS Grant(LETTP) 17,700.00
Total $ 38,313.78
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.

RESOLUTION 04-09-07
“RECONVEYANCE”
WHEREAS, the Tax Deed to the following described real property to-wit: All that part of Outlot H lying One-Hundred Sixty-Five feet (165’) East of Palm Street and North of North line Etc., Hitchcock Lands Addition, Town of Hitchcock, Beadle County, South Dakota, was taken for unpaid taxes, and,
WHEREAS, the record owner therefore paid Beadle County Treasurer all taxes, interest and cost represented in such years,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the above described real property shall be reconveyed to Myles R. Voorhees the owner of record therefore in the manner as provided by SDCL 10-25-41, after the time for appeal for such resolution has expired.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve to go into Executive Session at 9:40 a.m. to discuss contractual matters. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 10:23 a.m.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve to remove 40 MPH speed limits from County Oil Roads effective May 1, 2007.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve to appoint Dave VanDeWalle as Interim Working Forman at $16.30 per hour plus longevity effective May 1, 2007 with a 6 month probation.
Jim Borszich, Executive Director for Greater Huron Development Corporation met with the board to give 1st quarter updates.
