PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JUNE 28, 2007


The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – June 28, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of June 19, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.


The minutes of June 19, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.


Moved by Chase, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve for Mike Moore, Beadle County State Attorney to hire Ellen Kuhler as summer intern at rate of $12.50 per hour.


Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To deny reclassification of downstairs daytime regular shift jailors at Regional Correction Center as requested on June 19, 2007 by Paul Aylward, Director of AFSCME and Randy Ohm, jailor.

RESOLUTION 06-04-07
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”

WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the US Department of Justice for the Bulletproof Vest Program. The following item will be added to the 2007 Budget year.

101 211.426.34 County Wide Law Fixed Assets $ 771.05

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the item set forth above.


Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve revised Emergency Preparedness Network (EPN) Agreement between Huron City and Beadle County.


Ruth Brodkorb, Wolsey Mayor met with the board to discuss a culvert being placed in 205th Street/Front Street before Railroad, so standing water would then drain east along normal drainage system.


Preliminary budget was handed out to Commissioners who will review at future meetings and discuss options for financing.


On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on Tuesday - July 10, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
