PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
AUGUST 21. 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – August 21, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of August 14, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Chase, Drake and Werner. Absent: Marcus.
The minutes of August 14, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 08-03-07
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota Department of Public Safety Office of Homeland Security for US Department of Homeland Security 2006 Homeland Security Grant Program. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2007 Budget.
226 222.429.06 Emerg Mgmt HMLS Grant (Equip) $ 22, 274.20
Total 22,274.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve 2006 HMLS Equipment Grant transfers to Jerauld County in the amount of $27,848.20 and Faulk County in the amount of $7,036.02.
Deputy Skip McWethy, Jail Administrator, met with the board to discuss repairs to Correctional Center bunks. Trussbilt will furnish material and county will furnish labor to do repairs. Also informed the board that HMLS has monies for electronic finger printings system. Deputy McWethy will research maintenance fee for this system and report back to the board.
Jeff Tschetter from Cavour Fire Department met with the board to ask for allocation towards the match money to purchase new pumper truck thru grant. Mr. Tschetter will report back at a later date with budget and fund raiser information.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next August 30, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
