PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
OCTOBER 9, 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – October 9, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of September 27, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.
The minutes of September 27, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve buried cable request from Qwest to bore under 409th Ave (County Road #29) in Section 15, Pearl Creek Township between 216th Street and 217th Street.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve contract addendum for AFSCME Local 169, Beadle County Highway Department to extend 10 hour work days to include all of November and December 2007, all of January, February and March 2008 and all of November & December of 2008.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to declare surplus tiger mover blades, skid shoes and miscellaneous cables and bolts and sell to Sanborn County Highway Department for $1,772.78.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to set bid date of October 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. for aggregate base course.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to declare surplus 2.79 ton of scrap metal and sell to Barti Metal for $223.20.
Keith Senska and Jim Howard, Sanborn County Commissioners met with the Board to discuss Beadle County Veteran Service Office taking over Sanborn County Veterans as their Veteran’s Service Officer has resigned. The Commissioner will visit with Ken Lindblad and set up another meeting with Sanborn County at a later date.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on October 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
