PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 8, 2007
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – November 8, 2007 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of October 31, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.
The minutes of October 31, 2007 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Beadle County Commission served as canvassing board for the County Special Ref Election held on November 6, 2007. One correction was noted that Ward 9 tally sheet and Ballot Certification did not match total change Yes 1209, No 1453.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve equipment transfers for 2006 Homeland Security Grant as presented by Tom Moeding, Emergency Management Director.

Moved by Werner, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Application as presented by Eric Senger, NECOG representative for Beadle County Local Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve to appoint Dar French from RSVP and Linda Smith from Beadle County Extension, for a two year term to serve on the Northeast South Dakota Regional Aging Council.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve to declare 8.77 ton of miscellaneous scrap as surplus and sold to Barti Metal for $526.20.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve to set December 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. as bid date for Diesel fuels and unleaded gas.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Marcus. Motion carried. To approve for Jerry Batien, Dave VanDeWalle and Jim Borkowski to attend Flint Hills Conference on Road Oil training November 27 in Aberdeen or November 28 in Sioux Falls.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 12:35 p.m. to discuss personnel matter. Chairman Mattke declared Executive Session over at 12:55 p.m.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve to close the Beadle County Courthouse and other County offices on December 24, 2007.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to set Public Hearing date of November 29, 2007 at 10:45 a.m. for Alcoholic Beverage License for Fowl Play Inc.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve Dakota Care as the health insurance for County employees pending Insurance Committee and Union approval.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on November 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
