PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JANUARY 3, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – January 3, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of December 31, 2007 with members present: Chairman Mattke, Vice Chair Marcus, Chase, Drake and Werner.
Chairman Mattke, having determined the business for 2007 to have been completed adjourned at 9:10 a.m. – sine die.
Chairman Mattke called for nominations for 2008 Chairman, Commissioner Werner nominated Commissioner Marcus.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To close nominations and instruct Auditor to cast unanimous vote for Commissioner Marcus as Chairperson.
Chairman Mattke called for nominations for 2008 Vice Chairman, Commissioners Marcus nominated Commissioner Chase.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To close nominations and instruct Auditor to cast unanimous vote for Commissioner Chase as Vice Chairman.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve to declare 2.48 ton of Miscellaneous scrap metal as surplus and be sold to Barti Metal for $248.00.
Move by Chase, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve contract with Mark LaFreniere for services at the Regional Correction Center for 2008.
The Board worked on General Policies for 2008.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on January 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
