PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JANUARY 14, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Monday – January 14, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of January 8, 2008 with members present: Chairperson Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake, Mattke and Werner.
The minutes of January 8, 2008 were approved read as with no additions or changes.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 9:30 a.m. for appointed Officials evaluations. Chairperson Marcus declared Executive Session over at 11:30 a.m.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to purchase from Sheehan Mack a 2005 steel roller packer (SN#101880021801) in the amount of $13,011.13.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve to set bid date for one Tractor Loader Backhoe as February 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve contractual agreement with Laurie Simons for services at the Regional Correction Center.
The Commissioners met with Kyle Raph from Koch Hazard Architects, to discuss the possibility of moving the State Attorney offices to the Court House and to better utilize other Court House offices. Additional parking was also discussed.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 2:15 p.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairperson Marcus declared Executive Session over at 3:47 p.m.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve for Jeff Banks, Beadle County Deputy States Attorney, to be paid $483.33 per month from the STOP Violence Grant for 2008.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Werner. Motion carried. To approve for Patricia Manolis, Victim Coordinator at the Beadle County States Attorney Office to be paid $875.00 per month from the STOP Violence Grant for 2008.
The Board continued to work on the Policies for 2008.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on January 22, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
