PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
MARCH 18, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – March 18, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of March 11, 2008 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake, Mattke and Werner.
The minutes of March 11, 2008 were approved as read with no addition or changes.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 03-05-08
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota for Extension Office Postage. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2008 Budget.
101 611.426.11 Extension Postage $ 2,600.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.

RESOLUTION 03-06-08
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota for US Department of Homeland Security Office for Domestic Preparedness on 2006 Citizens Corps Grant. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended as follows:
2008 Budget
226 222.429.06 Emergency Mgmt HMLS Grant (Citizens Corp) $ 302.99
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the items set forth above.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to declare 3,300 lbs of scrap metal as surplus and sell to Barti Metal for $198.00.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve Lawn Care quote from TruGreen Chemlawn for 2008 season in the amount of $800.00.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 03-07-08
“PLAT OF HOSKINS 1ST ADDITION, A REPLAT OF THE
VACATED BLOCK 49 OF THE ORIGINAL PLAT OF WOLSEY,
LOCATED IN THE SW4 OF SECTION 24-111-64”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of “Hoskins 1st Addition, a replat of the vacated Block 49 of the Original Plat of Wolsey, located in the SW4 Section 24-111-64”, west of the 5th p.m., City of Wolsey, Beadle County, South Dakota, as described above and drawn hereon be
approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.
Moved by Mattke, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve Conditional Use Permit for Kaboomer’s Enterprise Inc & Ken Ferris for a fireworks stand from June 27-July 4, 2008. (Property address 39632 West US Hwy 14).
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:35 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Marcus declared Executive Session over at 12:00 p.m.
