PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JUNE 26, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – June 26, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of June 12, 2008 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake, Mattke and Werner.
The minutes of June 12 & June 23, 2008 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve 2006 HMLS equipment transfer to Brown County in the amount of $90,223.62
Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent and Randy Hoscheid, Pierce & Harris engineering presented quotes for repair to front of Beadle County Highway Shop Building:
Wiedenman Construction $48,420.00
Todd Bruske Construction $51,478.00
Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve quote of Wiedenman Construction in the amount of $48,420.00 for repairs to the Beadle County Highway Shop building.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 9:30 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Marcus declared Executive Session over at 10:57 a.m.

To approve variance request of Ron & Tater Hins to plant trees 70 feet from center of east/west road (211th Street) and 45 feet from center of north/south road (398th Avenue) with the condition that if 398th Avenue is improved then at least one row of trees would have to be removed. Legal: NE4 22-110-62 (Clyde Township)
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to declare surplus 380 lbs of aluminum and 240 lbs of scrap metal and sell to Barti Metal for $202.00.
