PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JULY 10, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – July 10, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of July 8, 2008 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake, Mattke and Werner.
The minutes of July 8, 2008 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To approve to declare 2060 lbs of scrap metal as surplus and to sell to Barti Metal for $144.20.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:55 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Marcus declared Executive Session over at 11:00 a.m.
At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Marcus declared bidding closed for The Beadle County Courthouse Remodel Project. Kyle Raph, from Koch Architects and Dick Freske, construction Consultant were present. Dick Freske opened the bids and read the amounts.

Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve to award contract to Wiedenman Construction Inc for base bid and alternate #1 totaling $189,218.00 for the Beadle County Courthouse Remodel Project as being lowest bidder and in the best interest of Beadle County.
Commissioners continued to work on the 2009 Provisional Budget.
Commissioners have instructed the Auditor to present Resolution for an Opt Out at next meeting.
The Board adjourned to meet next on July 15, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
