PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JULY 31, 2008
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – July 31, 2008 at 7:30 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of July 23, 2008 with members present: Chairman: Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake and Mattke. Absent: Werner.
The minutes of July 22 & 23, 2008 were approved with no additions or changes.
Paul Aylward, Executive Director AFSCME and Stewards from Beadle County Highway Union and Beadle County Courthouse/Jail Employees met with the Beadle County Commission for union negotiations. Next meeting scheduled for September 2, 2008.

Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve for Chairman Marcus to sign SD Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) Grant Program in the amount of $190,832.00. This is a 20% cash or in-kind match. Funds are to be used to purchase new digital radio’s operating on the statewide interoperable communications system or to upgrade existing radio operating on the statewide system.

RESOLUTION 07-18-08
“ADOPTION OF PROVISIONAL BUDGET FOR BEADLE COUNTY SOUTH DAKOTA”
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the Board of County Commissions of Beadle County, will meet in the Courthouse at Huron South Dakota on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of considering the foregoing Provisional Budget for the year of 2009 and various items, schedules, amounts and appropriations set forth therein and as many days thereafter as is deemed necessary until the final adoption of the budget on the 30th day of September 2008. At such time any interested person may appear either in person or by a representative and will be given an opportunity for al full and complete discussion of all purposes, objectives, items, schedules, appropriations, estimates, amounts and matters set forth and contained in the Provisional Budget.
Julie Miller and Bonnie Dosch, Nurses’ from Community Health Office met with the Commissioners to give 2nd quarter updates.
The Board adjourned to meet next on August 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.
