The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Thursday – August 28, 2008 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake, Mattke and Werner.

RESOLUTION 08-06-08
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”

WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota for Stop/Violence Against Women Act Grant. The following item will be added to the 2008 Budget year.

231 434.429 Stop Violence Grant Other $ 6,250.00

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the item set forth above.


Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 9:28 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Marcus declared Executive Session over at 9:45 a.m.

Moved by Chase, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve to accept with regret the retirement notice of Auditor, Connie Muth effective February 28, 2009.

Moved by Werner, Abstain Drake, seconded by Chase. To approve to appointment of Jill Hanson as Auditor Assistant effective January 1, 2009 and Auditor effective March 1, 2009 to fill the remaining two year Auditor term, with a salary of $40,076.00 for 2009.

Moved by Chase, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve to post Office Administrator position for Auditor’s Office with starting date of October 1, 2008.

Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve for Highway Department to rent an 8 foot Broom from DMI for $2,700.00 per month.

Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To approve Haul road agreement with Trans Canada Keystone Pipeline, LP, by its agent TC Oil Pipeline Operations, Inc for Beadle County roads.
