PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
OCTOBER 7, 2008
The Board of beadle County Commissioner met Tuesday – October 7, 2008 pursuant to adjournment of September 30, 2008 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Chase, Drake and Mattke. Absent: Werner.
The minutes of September 30, 2008 were approved as read with no additions or changes.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Chase. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 10-01-08
“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota Department of Public Safety Office of Homeland Security for US Department of Homeland Security 2007 Homeland Security Grant Program. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2008 Budget.
226 222.429.07 Emergency Management 2007 HMLS 2007 Grant (Equip) $13,723.02
Total $13,723.02
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the item set forth above.

“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET

226 222.429.06 Emergency Management 2006 LETPP Equip Grant $ 45.00
Total $ 190.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the item set forth above.
Moved by Chase, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To go into Executive Session at 10:40 a.m. to discuss personnel matters. Chairman Marcus declared Executive Session over at 11:35 a.m.
Darleen Bergleen with SD Dept of Health met with the Board to discuss the option of Dept of Health renting a room at the Community Health Office for a certified Dietician that has been placed in Huron. It was agreed to rent a space and the State will send a contract for Commission approval.
Mike Moore, Beadle County States Attorney met with the board and informed them the final union contract had been forwarded to the unions and was ready for signatures. Meeting will be set up for the union, Commissions and Elected Officials to sign.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet next on October 14, 2008.
