Skip McWethy and Tom Moeding met with the Board to discuss purchasing outside security cameras.

Robin Lee from Iron Planet & Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent met with the Board to discuss options of selling surplus motor graders through internet bidding. Inspection cost for each grader is $500.00. Commission sale of equipment is 8% & County equipment to be sold on March 5 & 12, 2009 sale dates.

To declare the following Motor Graders as surplus with set minimum amount of $100,000.00 for 2007 Volvo’s and $60,000.00 for 2004 Volvo’s authorize inspections of equipment by Iron Planet fee of $2,500.00 and to be sold March 5 & 12, 2009 at www.ironplanet.com Bid notice to be published in a timely manner.

WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of South Dakota Department of Public Safety Office of Homeland Security for US Department of Homeland Security 2007 Homeland Security Grant Program. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2009 Budget.

To approve Speed Limit on City of Huron West Truck Bypass from 35mph to 40 mph from intersection 21st Street by Karl’s west to the point where curb and gutter stops, change 35mph to 40 mph from intersection Highway 14 on the by-pass until Center Street & change the rest of the by-pass highway speed to 60 mph with a speed advisory sign of 55 mph (but not mandate a 55 mph speed limit) at curve located on the by-pass.

BE IT RESOLVED, That due notice thereof be given by the posting of a copy of this resolution on the official bulletin board in the court house, and that a hearing on said resolution shall be had and held in the Commissioners Room at the Beadle County Court house, Huron, Beadle County, South Dakota on February 10, 2009 at 12:45 p.m.
