| PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION April 21, 2009 The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – April 21, 2009 at 9:00 am, pursuant to adjournment of April 14, 2009 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Drake, Benson, Mattke and Werner. The minutes of April 14, 2009 were approved. At 9:15 a.m. convened as Board of Equalization. At 10:31 a.m. reconvened as Beadle County Board of Commissioners. Jan Manolis & Reva Baum from the Jan Manolis Family Safe House visited with the Commissioners to let them know about the new safe house and ask that the Commissioners keep said new safe house in mind when working on next year’s budget. The Commissioners thanked Jan & Reva for informing them of the new safe house and will look into possibilities of funding, come budget time. Moved by Werner, seconded by Benson. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION 04-05-09 “GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET” WHEREAS, unanticipated reimbursements were received from the State of south Dakota Department of Public Safety Office of Homeland Security for 2007 Public Safety Interoperable (PSIC) Grant Program match. The following item will be reimbursed for monies expended in the 2009 Budget. 226.222.429.00 Emerg Mgmt 2007 PSIC Grant $ 33,781.76 Total $ 33,781.76 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the board of Beadle County Commissioners do hereby propose, make and move for adoption of this Grant Supplemental Budget in the item set forth above. Moved by Benson, seconded by Mattke. Motion carried. To approve for Pierce & Harris Engineering to engineer the Broadland Road from US Highway 14 then 2.8 miles north and to be added on the STIP. (Resolution 02-10-09) Moved by Werner, seconded by Drake. To approve to table Wash Rock Type 1B & Washed Crushed Rock Type 2A bids from April 14, 2009 until April 30, 2009 so Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent can bring samples from the pits the Wash Rock Type 1B will be coming from. Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake. Motion carried. To adopt the following resolution: RESOLUTION 04-04-09 “RECONVEYANCE” WHERAS, the Tax Deed to the following described real property to-wit: Lots 22, 23, and 24, Block 20, Original Town of Wolsey, Beadle County, South Dakota, was taken for unpaid taxes, and, WHEREAS, the record owners therefore paid Beadle County Treasurer all taxes, interest and cost represented in such years, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RSOLEVED: That the above described real property shall be reconveyed to Lyle Marshall the owner of record therefore in the manner as provided by SDCL 10-25-41, after the time for appeal for such resolution has expired. Moved by Drake, seconded by Benson. Motion carried. To approve to set May 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. for Public Hearing date for Dakota Energy Coop for 20 year franchise agreement with Beadle County for Placement & Maintenance for transmission & distribution power lines.
