PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
August 4, 2009
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday – August 4, 2009 at 9:00 am, pursuant to adjournment of July 30, 2009 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Drake, Benson, Mattke and Werner.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Benson. Motion carried to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel at 9:05 a.m. Chairman Marcus declared executive session over at 10:30 a.m.

Sarah Metcalf, South Dakota Pipeline Liaison met with Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent and the Board of Commissioners to give an update on the conditions of the roads and showed the board updated pictures in those townships affected by the Keystone Pipeline Project. The board asked Sarah if she knew the approximate cost that Beadle County will be receiving from the TransCanada pipeline. Sarah didn’t have that figure with her, but will check into it and report back to Jerry Batien.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Mattke, motion carried. To approve grant agreement with South Dakota Department of Health Preparedness and Response for the purpose of Point of Dispensing (POD) enhancement. The agreement is from August 1, 2009 through May 31, 2010 with a Federal financial assistance award in the amount of $12,500.00
The Board adjourned to meet next on August 11, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.
