PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 1, 2009
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 9:00 am, pursuant to adjournment of August 31, 2009 with members present: Chairman Marcus, Vice Chairman Drake, Benson, Mattke and Werner.
The Minutes of August 31, 2009 were approved.
At 10:00 a.m. the Hearing for the 2010 Provisional Budget was held. In attendance were representatives from Huron Area Senior Center, RSVP, YWCA Family Violence, Glacial Lakes & Prairies Tourism, Huron Public Library, Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau and Community Counseling. Those in attendance were allowed time to voice their concerns regarding the budget cuts in their program and the affect it would have on them. The Board of Commissioners took all comments into consideration. Second and final budget hearing will be held on September 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.
Moved by Werner, seconded by Mattke, motion carried. To approve Lucas Bergquist to attend the State Certification of Jailer training in Watertown South Dakota on September 13 through the 18, 2009.
The Board adjourned to meet next on September 8, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
