PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
JANUARY 19, 2010
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Tuesday, January 19, 2010, pursuant to adjournment of January 14, 2010 with members present: Vice Chair Drake, Benson, Mattke, and Marcus. Absent: Chair Werner.
The Minutes of January 14, 2010 were approved.
Dick Freske, Professional Construction Services, met with the board to make sure that there was not any last minute things that need to be completed prior to the deadline for the Recovery Act – Energy Efficiency and Block Grants that the County is applying for.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 01-06-10
GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
WHEREAS, UNANTICIPATED REIMBURSEMENTS WERE RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR 2007 PUBLIC SAFETY INTEROPERABLE (PSIC) GRANT PROGRAM MATCH. THE FOLLOWING ITEM WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR MONIES EXPENDED IN THE 2010 BUDGET.
226 222.429.00 EMERG MGMT 2007 PSIC GRANT $ 3,387.86
TOTAL $ 3,387.86
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE BOARD OF BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO HEREBY PROPOSE, MAKE AND MOVE FOR ADOPTION OF THIS GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET IN THE ITEM SET FORTH ABOVE.

RESOLUTION 01-07-10
GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
WHEREAS, UNANTICIPATED DONATION WAS RECEIVED FROM AN ANONYMOUS CITIZEN FROM BEADLE COUNTY FOR EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER NATIONAL BOARD PROGRAM 2010 FUNDING. THE FOLLOWING ITEM WILL BE REIMBURSED FOR MONIES EXPENDED IN THE 2010 BUDGET.
230 411.429 EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER $ 40.00
TOTAL $ 40.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE BOARD OF BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO HEREBY PROPOSE, MAKE AND MOVE FOR ADOPTION OF THIS GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET IN THE ITEM SET FORTH ABOVE.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve the standard (Exam & Lube) Agreement between Beadle County Courthouse, Beadle County Correction Center and Kone Inc. for examination and lubrication maintenance for the vertical transportation equipment (elevators) for one year effective February 1, 2010.
The Board of County Commissioners worked on the General Policies for 2010.
The board adjourned to meet next on January 28, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
