PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
MARCH 1, 2010
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met on Monday, Monday 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. with members present: Chair Werner, Vice Chair Drake, Marcus, Mattke and Benson.
At 9:00 a.m., Judge Jon Erickson performed the swearing in of Douglas Solem as Beadle County Sheriff.
Tom Moeding, Beadle County Emergency Management Director met with the board and informed them of the Storm Spotter class in Huron on April 27, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Moved by Mattke, seconded by Benson, motion carried to approve Tom Moeding, Emergency Management Director to attend Web OEC Training in Pierre on March 9, 2010.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Benson, motion carried to go into Executive Session at 9:17 a.m. Chair Werner declared Executive Session over at 9:25 a.m.
At 9:30 a.m., Chair Werner declared time for Public Hearing of Snow Removal Ordinance Section 2110. With no one appearing or having any questions and comments, Chair Werner declared hearing closed.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Drake, motion carried to adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 02-07-10
“PLAT OF DAVIS OUTLOT 3, A PART OF THE NORTHWEST ¼ OF SECTION 19, TWP. 111 NORTH, RGE. 61 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M. BEADLE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA.”
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of Davis Outlot 3 a part of the Northwest Quarter(N.W. ¼ ) of Section Nineteen (S.19), Township One Hundred Eleven North (T. 111 N.), Range Sixty One West (R. 61 W.) of the Fifth Principal Meridian (5 th P.M.), Beadle County, South Dakota as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Marcus, motion carried to buy up to 3,000 sand bags from Federal Surplus at a cost of $0.15 each.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Drake, motion carried to authorize Chair Werner to sign ATM Installation Agreement.
The Board adjourned to meet next on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1 p.m.
