Doug Solem, Beadle County Sheriff met with the Board to give an update on how the transition in the Sheriff’s office is going.

The Board of Commissioners visited with Bill Barthalow from Asphalt Paving & Materials to discuss what can be done to fix the East Beadle County Line – 418th Avenue, Beadle County Hwy 39.
Fern Mattke, Census Worker, met with the Board to inform them how that Census 2010 is going. Fern informed the board that Nation Wide 46% of the Census has been returned, and of that, South Dakota is among the Highest at 58% and Beadle County is 64% of the State.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Drake, motion carried to approve Beadle County Highway Superintendent to rent two (2) Packers.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve Auditor Jill Hanson, Treasurer Jacque McCaskell and Register of Deeds, Barb O’Riley to attend Spring Workshop in Pierre on May 12-14, 2010 and Deputy Auditor, Debbie Jungemann and Deputy Treasurer, Sharon Korkow to attend Deputy Workshop in Pierre on May 19-20, 2010.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve the State’s Attorney request to attend the NDAA Spring Conference & Training and ABA Prosecution Function Spring Meeting & Training on April 8-11, 2010.
