PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
May 10, 2010
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met Monday, May 10 2010, with members present: Chair Werner, Vice Chair Drake, Mattke and Benson. Absent was Marcus.
The Minutes of April 27, 2010, Board of Equalization April 27, 2010 and Special Meeting May 4, 2010 were approved with no additions or changes.
Adjourned at 9:00 a.m. to convene as Drainage Board
Reconvened as Board of Commission at 10:15 a.m.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Drake, motion carried to adopt the SD DOT agreement from June 2010 to May 2011.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve the quote from Mike Bauer in an amount not to exceed $2,500.00 to put in two (2) secured doors, in the 3rd floor of the Regional Correctional Center for the sole purpose of having a conference room where attorneys can meet with the prisoners and where an ITV network can be set up to appear before a judge without leaving the Regional Correction Center on the court appearances that are approved to be handled this way.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to declare surplus 16,786 lbs of various scrap/tin and sold to Barti Metal Processing in the amount of $947.70.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Benson, motion carried to approve Deb Bozentko, Welfare Director to attend Welfare workshop in Pierre on June 16-17, 2010.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve Ken Lindblad, Beadle/Sanborn County Veteran Director and Karen Peck to attend the Spring SDDVA mini-training conference in Mitchell on May 27, 2010.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Mattke, motion carried that all Beadle County employees requesting travel to Workshops, Conventions or any training first check to see if there would be a County vehicle available to use instead of using their own personal vehicle.

RESOLUTION 05-01-10
PLAT OF MOEDING SECOND ADDITION LOTS 1A AND 1B, A REPLAT OF LOT 1 OF MOEDING ADDITION LOTS 1-7 A PART OF THE W ½ OF THE NW Ό OF 12-110-62, WEST OF THE 5TH P.M. BEADLE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA.
On recommendation of the Beadle County Planning Commission: BE IT RESOLVED: by the Board of Beadle County Commissioners that the plat of Moeding Second Addition Lots 1A and 1B a replat of Lot 1 of Moeding Addition Lots One thru Seven (L. 1-7) a part of the West Half (W ½ ) of the North-West Quarter (NW Ό) of Section Twelve (S. 12), Township One Hundred Ten North (T. 110 N.), Range Sixty-Two West (R. 62 W.), of the Fifth Principal Meridian (5 th P.M.), Beadle County, South Dakota as described above and drawn hereon be approved and accepted and the Auditor hereby is instructed to endorse on such plat a copy of this resolution and to certify the same.

GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET
WHEREAS, UNANTICIPATED REIMBURSEMENTS WERE RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE OF HOMELA ND SECURITY FOR US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY 2009 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM.

TOTAL $ 4,128.07
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE BOARD OF BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO HEREBY PROPOSE, MAKE AND MOVE FOR ADOPTION OF THIS GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET IN THE ITEM SET FORTH ABOVE.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Drake, motion carried to go into Executive Session at 12:30 p.m. for Union Contract Negotiations. Chair declared Executive Session over at 1:15 p.m.
The board adjourned to meet next on May 18, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
