PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY DRAINAGE BOARD
MAY 10, 2010
The Beadle County Drainage Board met Monday, May 10, 2010 at 9:00 a.m., with members present: Chair Werner, Vice Chair Drake, Benson and Mattke. Absent was Marcus. Also in attendance was Mike Moore, Beadle County State’s Attorney and Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent.
Chair Werner called meeting to order and declared time for Public Hearing on drainage concerns in Theresa Township at 9:00 a.m.
Testimony was received by Bill Chase and Russell Doolittle, with the findings of Facts on file in the Auditor’s Office.
Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake, motion carried to have the Highway Department repair the ditch between the Southwest and Southeast quarter of Section 17 -111-62 (Theresa Township) with any charges that Beadle County has incurred to date along with the charges to repair said ditch be charged to Mr. Doolittle. In addition, Mr. Doolittle is to restore his property to the condition it was before excavating started, or show a plan for not flowing water onto his neighbor’s property by May 18, 2010. If the above motion has not be done by May 18, 2010 or if a written extension to the Beadle County Auditor from Mr. Doolittle has not been filed, then the County has the right to fix it with all expenses to be paid by Mr. Doolittle.
Public Hearing closed at 10:14 a.m.
Adjourned at 10:15 a.m. to reconvene as Board of Commissioners.
