Beadle County Highway Superintendent

Hi: My name is Jerry Batien, I have been with the Beadle County Highway Department for 27 years. I was the blade operator in the north west part of Beadle county for 25 years. Following that I have been the crew foreman for the last year. I'm glad to have the privilege to work with the people of Beadle county, as the superintendent. 

I grew up in the Willow Lake area and attended Lake Area Vo-Tech School in Watertown. After graduating from Vo-Tech, I moved to Huron,and worked for the local Chevrolet dealership. I then moved to the Bonilla area and began work for the County in November of 1980. 

I have three children, they are Bryan from Spearfish, Brianna from Sioux Falls, and Brennan in the Air Force in Cheyenne Wyo. 

I Serve as an Elder in the Bonilla Presbyterian Chruch, as well as co-youth leader.
